Ugly Sweaters You Can Eat!

Sweater weather is my favorite. Okay, I lied — sunny and warm is obviously the best. But when it comes to fall/winter, a crisp sunny day is as close as it gets. And I think we can all agree that most anything is better than rain.

Anyway, to celebrate this wonderful season, I baked sweater cookies! After the first few cookies, I started to get the hang of the pattern. Then I decided to invert the design and failed pretty hard. It took almost twice as long to paint the white sweaters than it did the red!

It’s a good thing I always bake one extra! I usually try to estimate how many cookies I am willing to paint (for these I wanted 6) and then bake one or two extras as insurance. Sometimes I use them as practice cookies or rough drafts, other times something else goes wrong.
